  The Nagging Head of Progress

this is a photo of the nag's head pub external sign, a pub that used to exist down shalesmoor, it has been bull dozed now to make way for a new road. me and jonny spent many a good time in this pub in the last 5 years or so playing pool or enjoying the late night kareoke till the early hours, the ship over the road still exists and that is a fine example of an english pub. you will have to come to sheffield soon to have a pub crawl and remember the days gone by. cheers jon Posted by Picasa

  Typical A&R Rejection-1991 Style
Posted by Picasa

We've seen our share of heart-felt letters like this over the years. We guess that the "Rejection Template" has remained fairly constant over the years -- Do any readers have any evidence that, in light of the recent over-turning of the UK Record Industry by way of ARCTIC MONKEYS, the A&R Departments have got the hang of booking bands who might actually sell records in the long haul??!

E-mail us your horror stories!
Let's see who is the MOST-REJECTED act in Music !?!

Before roundabouts - All roads led to Rawmarsh ........the Chapeltown Triangle

This is a photo of a road sign. This particular road sign is just down the road from my house (near the railway bridge at Chapeltown). Chapeltown actually has two roundabouts, for the record. As you can see Chapeltown is at the centre of a triangle made between Barnsley, Rotherham and Sheffield. The 'Chapeltown Triangle' if you like (almost, but not quite, as famous as the Bermuda one)!! I've not heard of any missing planes or ships yet, but the odd bus or train has been reported as missing. .... or at the very least..... somewhat late! Anyway.... keep living in the local universe

I get kicked in on Route 66

One end of Route 66 Posted by Picasa

I took this photo last friday afternoon in Rotherham bus interchange while making my way home. FLYING THROUGH LIMBO GOING HOME. I once upon a time one night got set on by a group of 4 drunken thugs on this bus route, it inspired me to write the song TWATS ON THE BUS, luckily they did listen to my reasoning that my life was already shit and they didn't have to make it any shitter. cheers jon

  Public Transport Woes

Another perspective on the Lincoln/Sheffield experience.... albeit from an all-out rocker's experience.

Megan still keeping it real, she's a live ringer for love. "ring ring ring goes the phone on my desk, I feel very old at my new paper desk" I'll name that tone in one!

a band of the 90's (and revived for the 'Naughties'...oo er!). cradleyard is a hotbed of creativity for the various members, a source of myriad joys for the people who love them and a living, morphing, shrine for the many people who continue to enjoy the music and have been to see cradleyard live. Welcome to the music, the mayhem and the 'organic' stylings of cradleyard.....
